Danish Flatpay sees historic employee growth: from 0 to 1,000 employees in three years

In just three years, Flatpay has seen remarkable employee growth. Since its launch in 2022, the company has now passed 1,000 employees across five countries — a milestone that underlines Flatpay’s ambition to challenge the conservative payments industry.

Danish Flatpay is currently making its mark as one of Northern Europe’s fastest-growing fintech companies, continuing its growth journey with a significant expansion of its workforce.

“August 2025 is a historic month for us. From the first ideas in an office to 1,000 dedicated employees in three years — that is a growth journey that proves we have hit a need in the market,” says Sander Janca-Jensen, CEO and founder of Flatpay.

In record time, Flatpay has won over thousands of small and medium-sized businesses that were previously locked into standardised payment solutions and a lack of customer service. With personal, flexible solutions and an uncompromising approach, Flatpay has made it easier for merchants to focus on their core business.
